Applications
Heat pump
Oksol facilitates the integration of the solar thermal solution with the heat pump at all levels:
- Installation: the outlet of the water heated by Oksol is installed in the cold water inlet of the heat pump tank, it is additionally recommended to install the solar sanitary kit. No additional components (expansion vessels, regulation, etc.) are required.
- Performance: The interaction of Oksol improves the performance of the heat pump system as the heat pump runs fewer cycles, and the compressor runs at part load which is when the best COP ratios of the heat pump are obtained.
- Electricity consumption: The production of DHW through the heat pump is the mode that requires more consumption because it is necessary to raise the mains water temperature (10-14º) to the DHW temperature (45-55º). As the Oksol heats the mains water directly, it needs less electricity to reach the desired DHW temperature, when the backup operation of the heat pump will be required.
- Service life: thanks to Oksol, the heat pump will stop and start less often, extending the service life of the system, as it is in these situations that the heat pump suffers the most mechanically.
